How to Create Fuel Bill Online

February 1, 2026

Whether you run a petrol pump, a fuel station, or need a one-off fuel receipt, creating a fuel bill online is quick when you use the right tool. This guide walks you through BillGenerators.com’s Fuel Bill Generator—from choosing a template and logo to entering quantity or amount, adding tax details, and downloading your bill as PDF or JPG.

1. Open the Fuel Bill Generator

Go to Fuel Bill Generator. The page has two main areas: a form panel on one side and a live preview on the other. Every change you make in the form updates the preview instantly, so you always see how the final bill will look.

2. Choose Template and Font

At the top of the form:

  • Select Template – Choose Template 1, Template 2, or Template 3. Each has a different layout and style; pick the one that fits your station’s branding.
  • Font – Select from Font 1 (monospace), Font 2 (Courier New), or Font 3 (Press Start 2P). The font applies to the whole bill text.

These options set the overall look of your fuel bill before you add any details.

3. Set Logo and Station Details

In the first section of the form:

  • Logo – Choose from Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum, JIO BP, or Essar. The selected logo appears at the top of the bill.
  • Fuel Station Name – Enter your station name (e.g. “Sharma Fuels”). It appears below the logo on the bill.
  • Address – Type your full address in the text area (street, area, city, PIN). You can use multiple lines; the bill will show them below the station name.

4. Enter Contact, Receipt, and Pump Details

The next row of fields includes:

  • Tel. No. – Your station phone number.
  • Receipt No. – A unique receipt or bill number. Use your own numbering system (e.g. daily sequence or alphanumeric code).
  • FCC ID – Federal Communications Commission identifier, if required for your equipment.

Below that:

  • FIP No. – Fuel dispenser or pump identifier.
  • Nozzle No. – Nozzle number at the pump.
  • Product – Select Petrol, Diesel, CNG, or Electric. This is shown on the bill and affects how the receipt is labelled.

5. Set Rate and Preset (Volume or Amount)

Fuel bills typically show either volume (litres) or amount (currency).

  • Rate – Enter the price per litre (or per unit) as a number (e.g. 97.86). The tool uses this to calculate the total.
  • Preset Type – Choose Volume or Amount. With Volume, you enter litres and the tool calculates the amount. With Amount, you enter the total amount and the tool calculates litres.
  • Enter Value – Depending on the preset type, enter either litres (e.g. 10) or amount (e.g. 500). The preview updates with the calculated total.

You can change the rate or value anytime; the live preview recalculates automatically.

6. Add Vehicle and Customer Details (Optional)

Under the preset field:

  • Vehicle No. – Enter the vehicle registration number if you want it on the bill (e.g. DL01AB1234).
  • Mobile No. – Customer mobile number, if you want it printed on the receipt.

These fields are optional but useful for record-keeping and customer copies.

7. Set Date, Time, and Payment Method

In the next section:

  • Date – Set the bill date (defaults to today).
  • Time – Set the time of the sale.
  • Payment Method – Choose Cash, Online, or Card. This is shown on the bill.

8. Configure Tax (GST, CST, LST, VAT)

Under Tax, you can select one of:

  • None – No tax line on the bill.
  • GST – Enables GST. Enter your GST Number and Tax (%). The tool calculates tax on the total and shows it on the bill.
  • CST No – Central Sales Tax. Enter the CST number if applicable.
  • LST No – Local Sales Tax. Enter the LST number if applicable.
  • VAT No – Value Added Tax. Enter the VAT number if applicable.

Only one tax type can be active at a time. The bill displays the selected tax details and calculated values (or "-" where not used).

9. Use the Live Preview

The Live Preview panel shows the fuel bill exactly as it will appear when downloaded. Use the + and − buttons to zoom in or out. Check that:

  • Logo, station name, and address are correct
  • Receipt number, product, rate, and volume/amount are right
  • Vehicle and mobile numbers (if entered) appear as expected
  • Date, time, and payment method are correct
  • Tax (if enabled) and totals are accurate

There are no "Save" or "Apply" steps—filling in the form is enough; the preview is always in sync.

10. Download Your Fuel Bill

At the bottom of the form:

  • Choose Download as – PDF (best for printing) or JPG (good for sharing or digital records).
  • You need to be logged in to download. If you're not, click Login to Download Bill and sign in (you'll return to the same page).
  • Downloads use a credits system. You need a small number of credits per bill; you can buy credits from the Buy Credits page.
  • Click Download to get your fuel bill. The downloaded file will not show any on-screen watermark text.

Use the Reset (↻) button anytime to clear the form and start a new bill (your template and font choices are kept).

11. Tips for Creating Fuel Bills Online

  • Keep a consistent receipt number series – Use a pattern (e.g. date + sequence or station code + number) so receipts are easy to track and audit.
  • Use the correct product and rate – Select Petrol or Diesel (or CNG/Electric) and update the rate to match current prices so totals are accurate.
  • Add GST or other tax where required – Many fuel stations must show tax details on bills; use the Tax section and enter your registration numbers.
  • Check the preview before download – Zoom in and scroll to ensure nothing is cut off and all text (including FIP, nozzle, vehicle no.) is readable.

Summary

Creating a fuel bill online with BillGenerators.com is straightforward: pick a template and font, set logo and station name and address, enter Tel. No., Receipt No., FCC ID, FIP No., Nozzle No., and Product. Set the rate and choose Volume or Amount preset and enter the value. Optionally add vehicle and mobile numbers.
